Dock Scheduling & Appointment Management

Hauliers book their own slots against real capacity, so the dock office stops being a switchboard.

Chockpoint carrier dispatch screen listing loads still needing a booking and appointments already made

Most dock schedules are a spreadsheet and a phone. Chockpoint gives the haulier a screen of their own, showing every load they still owe you a booking for and how long is left to make it.

Appointments booked against real capacity

A slot is only offered if the site can actually take it. Opening hours, door kind and the number of doors already committed in that window are all checked before a time is shown, and the booking is taken under a lock so two carriers cannot claim the last slot at once.

Truck appointment management

Bookings can be made, moved or cancelled by the carrier without a phone call, and each change is attributed. The gate then judges the arrival against that window, so early, on time and late mean the same thing to everyone.

Loads nobody has booked

A load with no appointment is chased on an escalating ladder rather than by repetition:

  • Three days out, the haulier is reminded
  • One day out, the haulier and the dock office
  • Four hours out, both, marked urgent
  • Once the time has passed, the dock office and the yard manager

Nobody is chased twice for the same thing, and every notice is recorded whether or not it was sent.

Dock utilisation

Because bookings and arrivals share one record, the gap between what was scheduled and what turned up is visible rather than anecdotal.
